Hey peeps, apologies in advance if this has been done to death, but I've activated some mechanism with some big cogs going round, and it says "take the stairs back to the crystal room thing(?) to activate the elevator" and i've wondered round everywhere and can't find where to go, any help would be muchly appreciated

If it says, go back to the elevator, it means, go back to the elevator... in the room where there was a big hanging wooden pillar thingy...

ta have gone back round there before but couldn't find anywhere to go, will try again
