The more I analize this game the more I find what a brilliant, genious mix of RPG, adventure, action and thief this is and I'm baffled by how small it became, I just don't get it, marketing before quality I guess.

Or maybe it's because I just started playing it on 1.2 where it works well.
The game is real fun on hardcore which they added in the patch, and it is probably the only mode which is fun like that. Even goblins will kill you in 2 hits. When I charm a zombie he will rip his zombie friend's head in one chop but I'll need like 6-8 charged hits for him. I think most games are ruined by the lack of challenge the opponents present. Whenever I fail to think smart or concentrate in just one room, I usually fail at surviving =P. However I have really learned to respect those NPCs now...
I wish there was more reward in looking in real hidden spots tho, other than potions n such.
I'm not a bow fan but there should be more skills for marksmen, just like in MP...

Thanks for this game, or actually...more than a game - when you compare it with 90% of that's out there.

peace

This game has the best fantasy realm combat system I have seen in any game so far. It's just plain fun, what with all the numerous ways you can defeat your foes.

This game was an absolute mess when it first came out, buggy as hell. It was simply unplayable on my PC. But with the most recent patch, it has become playable. But even with the bugs gone, it's a poorly coded game, because it's an absolute system hog. I had to lower all of my settings for the game to become stable, whereas Half Life 2: Episode 2 will run with much higher settings with smooth FPS (most of the time).

As for the difficulty settings, I think the "normal" setting is just fine. At "normal" difficulty setting, you really get the sense that Sareth becomes really powerful by the end, but your enemies can still hurt you bad if you don't concetrate during a fight.

I usually don't like harder settings in games because they just make you weak and your enemies way too tough. The best difficulty setting I have so far seen in any game was Deus Ex: Invisible War. With the "realistic" setting, both you and your enemies can die real fast, just like real life. It makes the game way more interesting than other difficulty settings. Crysis has a "Delta" setting (the hardest setting), another example of a well balanced higher difficulty setting. If you plan your actions, aim and shoot well, and properly take cover, you can take down your enemies, otherwise they will easily take you down.
