Yeah this jerk and someone called "I Suck" joined the Aussie servers today too, they basically played until they were emptied, then they would move somewhere else. They certainly weren't Australian, because their pings were 250+.

They use clientside CVARS, so unless someone finds out how to lock them then you can't really stop them.

Was that an EU Official server?

Hi, there are currently two cheaters on the EU server 04, one was called Alt+F4 and Mortal Kombat. I couldnt get their steamIDS for obvious reasons.

If we had some way of contacting you other than this forum to alert you of cheaters that would be great. As it stands they are ruining the game for everyone and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it.

That's great, but without their steam ids there is nothing we can do

Mana_SG may have some way of getting their steam ids from server logs if he has access, in which case we could use your demos and get those *******s removed permanently.

Yeah, I saw a speedhacker using your name some time ago. I've thought about joining the CA server, but I'm not sure if it would be too laggy for us euros.

I noticed this aswell yesterday on Official EU 1 and 2.

1 of them using Kusu-CA- nick.

They seem to like -CA- so it seems.

Yes, that is because they started hacking on our server. I was active admin and what not. So then I kicked "tryed to ban as well -_- stupid id's don't work bah"

Anyways, so me and the admins just auto kicked till they stopped

After that they posed as us -_- What immature idiots -_-

Alwell, just know [-CA-] does not hack. and our server is hack free most of the time anyways

well its unfortunate t hat without an active admin, nothing can be done. you can't track their steamIDs, votekick and probably can't get their IPs unless you got rcon

so its quite sad that theres not much that can be done, also there are certain client side values which can enable you to move much faster and fake lower pings

personally i have been recording IPs on the server i am admin on, but if they aren't using a static IP, then whats the point you know

i will bring up the old debate, is DM broken?
now that i am a server admin, yes. multiplayer is broken because you can't effectively ban or identify trouble makers, and they can ruin the game for other people

Though, about it being "broken" no one ever said that those details were going to be enabled. That is just how the game Devs came up with it -_0

Too bad, I was going to start playing this game again after long time. So few players left and now even less if hackers take over.

A few people before have suggested a vote kick. Personally I only use cheatcodes in games after I'v won them, and I don't even know(nor do I want to know) how they cheat like that.
In the first multiplayer server I joined, there were tons of hackers, they were rushing around and killing in single hits. I think this was when Mana changed the skins, because they were like minitaurs and such.

And there is no votekick in the game, and we can not add one unless we get a full MP SDK. So votekick is not possible, if it was possible it would of been on my server since day one.

Ah well, all that we can do is ignore them and try to enjoy the game then.

DMM had so much potential to be an amazing multiplayer game, its a heck of a lot of fun even in its currently unpolished form. Its quite sad that it has been abandoned and isn't getting any further updates.

well, again 'broken' but you know exactly what i mean. why use the source engine when you don't take advantage of steamIDs

theres still clear exploits with weapons, example machine gun lightning bolt (not spam, the bolt) and the charge bug

i guess they never said that they WERE going to have steamIDs, you just assume that things like vote kick and ect would be in the game by default. 'oh i bought a car, its broken, its got no steering wheel, wait, we never said it was going to have one, erm aren't they standard?'

finally, with the speedhacking, you do know that anyone can do it. its just changing one client side value. just one value and flash gordon couldn't catch you. you could turn it on, just a tiny bit and have a noticeable advantage

officially, VAC couldn't ban you for it, because your allowed to change client side values, but in DM its just pure exploitation

DM needs a sv_pure mode, or as someone said to me the ability to flag these unlockable client side tweaks as cheats

thats a terrible oversight on behalf of kuju.

its a bit of a rant but its just frustating. mana and godfather feel free to PM me i'll tell you what the value is and what to look out for

The people had minitaur skins or somthing. I read that there was a period of time where you changed the class skins. Anyways these people were like rushing across the map in a few seconds and sending me flying with one attack.
Why can't you get the funding and supplies for the full multiplayer SDK?
Also, mana I'd like to hear your opinions on recent posts in my poll thread.

guy.. if the skin was changed don't you think that it could have been like not the only thing that was changed serverside?
