Ever see Return of the Jedi? Remember what Luke did to the giant? You've got to do the same thing. First get the creatures attention by firing an arrow and/or spell at it and then run into the open portcullis, the creature will follow you, when its head protrudes through the doorway, hit the lever and drop the portcullis on it.
