i've been wanting to play this game since the day it was set to retail. I've tried the demo and i'm hooked with it. But then my video card starts to give me issues,so i need to revert back to my old card which is ATI 9200 leavin me no choice but not to purchase this game as yet.
SO now i might be getting new a higher end comp by next month with 8800 GTX or Ultra in it and Intel Core Duo,4GB RAM running on XP, I'm not in the mood for Vista. The question i have is,do you guys think this game will run as smoothly as i want it to be on that rig without causing any hiccups and crashes? I also have a 360, but i feel that i can't wait any longer.And i know Elements has some addons compared to PC version and they fix a lot of stuffs in it. Can i have your opinion guys? I cant decide yet coz i don't even know when will Elements be released. If it's in 8 months time..i'll be getting the PC version for sure... And do most of the bugs in the PC version are fixed after applying all the latest patches? |

well on your new pc the game should run perfectly
if i would have a 360 i'd probably wait; on the other hand i've already played the game... afaik there is no release date for elements up to now... there was only the message that it's in development and a list with some features... so i doubt that it will come out anytime soon as for the bugs i only encountered 2 and both are fixed now on the other hand they said that a huge number of bugs will be fixed in elements (well there is still the possibility that they were talking about mp...) |

Well if you're planning to fit 4 Gb RAM, the only XP os which can handle it properly is XP64, which is a worse os than Vista, not only for games but for almost everything concerning card/drivers/external peripherals... but I guess this isn't the proper forum to discuss this...
If your talking about PC hardware without knowledge, stick with your XBox and wait. If you really want to play the game you could always get a decent video card for few €/$. If this is an "emergency" case, well you waited for 1 year, what's a month or 2 further? 'cause, unless they're a whole bunch of idiots  (economically speaking), they'll release the game for ChristmasThis leads to the bugs question: whether the game won't be out for Christmas, this means they didn't realized what happened to the PC version and that they're too much pride for asking Valve what to do, or simply that they stole their "developers" claiming. |

games on computer cant be compared to any other gaming machine lol :P you will never could do as much in a xbox game as you can in a computer game if its the same game even if the other one is more new. thats my opinion

What is difference between Xbox and PC version, maybe I don't wan't to play DM with Xbox becouse I like my mouse too much
I bet aiming with bow must be simplified with Xbox controls, there have to be somekind of auto-aiming for console version. It is your choise, do you want to buy it for console or PC, PC version is much cheaper, though Xbox version could be less buggier. Why not getting PC version now and Xbox version later. |

Ya..i just hope there will be DM&M Elements Demo on the xbox live soon...so that i download both PC and 360 Demo to see which one is better especially in controls and performance...

The PC demo was an early e3 build running an early version of a map...
It would be a bad comparison :P. But I suggest getting the 360 version as it will be more polished. |

hmm...i don't mind if there's isn't any SDK Tools...hmm..any ideas when will the 360 version be released? i've been waiting to play this game for a year now since it came out...but due to the bad feedback..thats what makes me wait for the 360 version...

This game MM is so unstable I don’t know how it ever made it on to the market. During installation Windows (XP Pro) even warned NOT to do the install, for it could make my system unstable. There are NO fixes for this game or a patch would be available, I think a general remake would have to take place, and of course too expense.
You either live with ALL the problems and they are numerous or you shelf it and move on. DO NOT BUY THE PC GAME!!!!! |

January 10th is the release of the Xbox Version. I have played the demo and the multiplayer is A LOT DIFFERENT.
Sure bugs for PC, no bugs for xbox. I will probably end up getting both just for some "fun" I think the PC Version is much more fun for multiplayerayer though its about dead anyways. As for xbox. 10 people just does not seem as fun. |
