I cannot get on the ship at the beginning of Chapter 4. I am not rushing the ship. I go to the stairs at the left, then try to move the lever that is supposed to control the wood plank on the chain, but it doesn't go anywhere. I can't seen to jump on the ship from any angle. Please help! How do I get on the ship?

You sneeked towards the lever and first killed the guard, right? Duck (so they can't see/shoot you from the ship) close to the lever so you see the "use" icon appear around the wheel, use it untill the chain stops.
Run and jump onto the plank, duck & enter ship.

When I jump onto the plank, it doesn't go anywhere.

With the lever, you have moved the plank untill it went no further so now it is as closest to the opening of the ship as can be, right?

Jump onto the plank and enter the ship with your lazy body!

No, duck while turning the wheel, or guards may see you from the ship and shoot arrows at you.

But you have walked around on the deck, been spotted, and shot at? I have. Since then i stayed low when on that spot.
You're right, at the wheel they won't shoot you, but i enjoyed adding my response a little more suspense.

And I am still playing Dark MEssiah, its so awesome (I just made a mage guy with maxed mana that can use teekinesis like 34872343 times before running out of mana).

Never found telekinesis to be that useful.

funny you should mention I never found that spell usefull either. Although keep in mind that I do not play RPG games much.

Yeah Venom, enlighten us.

From what I can remember (played SP only once a year ago), I used the spell to pick up junk that was out of reach (but it was still junk).

I should also say that I did chapter 4 in 1 try.

When you kick enemies off some high ledges they enter ragdoll mode, when they are in this mode, you can "capture" them with telekinesis and throw them, you can also use it to throw objects with a great strenght, wich will often make enemies fall, in ragdoll mode.

Well I have treid to pick up objects it wont work. Whoever says I did not have enough majic power it was full. I still cannot even pick up the smallest of items.

Strange... you are supposed to be able to pick em up... Barrels, rocks, enemies.

Only the moveable objects, not just any object...
