Same problem with me, audio has problems.I did notice it less in the 2nd mission though, but i dont know if it will pop up again in further missions.I have my copy rented from Blockbuster, after so many days i can decide to buy it or what. They didnt have any retail copies only the for rent ones.Im leaning on not buying the xbox version and getting the pc version perhaps.I dont understand why none of the reviewers have not commented on this issue as it really affects gameplay.Last night one stutter lasted for like 5 seconds, which totally ruins gameplay in my opinion.I wish some of the designers or Ubisoft would comment on this problem.

Here is what I am experiencing.

In Campaign mode - The game definately lags and the sound is off when firing full bursts. The Bar seems to be especially bad.

In Skirmish mode (solo) - The game rocks. I didn't experience any problems at all. Well I take that back a little. The Bar still has problems with lagging sound.

In Multiplayer mode - I have played over 12 games now and have yet to have a game were the game ran smooth. I have asked other players why playing and they all say they are experiencing lag/sound problems. In many cases I notice my Xbox hard drive being very busy. When the Xbox hard drive is busy the game may also lag. I would say multiplayer is very frustrating. In the original Brothers in arms I had no problem killing opponents with a pistol, but in the new Brothers in Arms it is almost impossible for me due to the lag.

My Xbox is a 2004 model 9/8/2004. I am using cable which is pretty fast. I have no problems with multiplayer using other games.

I was hoping the glitches might clear up as the game progressed....wrong...I just got to Chateau Colombiere or whatever and the lag and sound fade is truly infuriating...really crappy behaviour....on the one hand I can see the beauty of the game and a hint of what it should be like...then all the **** starts to happen....I thought the game crashed at one point as it 'stuck' for at least 20 seconds!!! What kind of rush job is this???...I want my money back....how can they ship a game that's so inundated with buggy gameplay....it's not my X-Box either because everything else (other games) play just fine....surely somebody at Ubisoft must have known about this miserable state of affairs before they shipped it...so what gives??? What really bothers me is I can see all the de-lux beauty of the game and its wonderful potential...and then...LAG....Freeze....Sound-Out....Glitch-City...totally frustrating and annoying....and to think I waited in eager anticipation for this junky misfit....Do your job people!!!....I can't afford to splash out 60 dollars for a lemon like this!!

OK...Tri3 I just tried skirmish mode and it CRASHED on me....says my disc is damaged or dirty....it's spotlessly clean!!!......so back to the Chateau and it's really bad there....Lags & major sound problems still!!....I'm taking it back...I want a refund...if this was a cd or dvd it would be classed as inferior or BROKEN!! I'm informing everyone I know to steer clear of this broken down LEMON!!

Well I feel what a lot of u are saying about BIA EIB. The sound suck on this game and cause it to cash. UB need a fix asap or this game is history. Speaking of history, it seems UB games of late have had problem in one shape or form. From Rainbow series, Ghost Recon series, Far Cry and now BIA EIB. This is getting old and disappointing. If anyone important in UB staff is reading this, u guys have one more chance in getting things together for the 360 game Ghost Recon Advance Warfare, because it will be the last game I every purchase with UB involvement in a game if problem still ocurr and I not alome on that.

I think Ubisoft needs to admit that there is a problem with the sound and the stuttering issue and hurry up and come out with an update for it. I just sent them an email talking about the sound problem and freezing up and they sent me back an email saying there might be scratches on the disc or my xbox might have a problem with it. They have to know thats all BS. I mean there are countless topics on there own message boards complaining about the very problem I emailed them about. If I try to return the game they wont give me my money back, they will only give me another game and that certaintly isn't going to solve the problem. What advice to you have for solving this problem or getting in better contact with Ubisoft?

Shagy1186, i am going to consult our customer service person as if UBI don't release a fix then i am going to return mine and check with trading standards.

The problems is with trying to create better games the xbox engine obviously is being over worked or the game has been programmed very badly, even if they release an update those that don't have xbox live won't be able to get it.

....OK...so I exchanged my X-Box EIB game for a new copy and lo and behold it's still terrifically terrible!!!......Lags....Sound-Outs...Crashes....Freezes...Dirty Disc message!!!...and on it goes....how can Ubisoft sell such a product???...I've tried my friends' versions of their X-Boxes and the lemon of a game continues to do the same fandango...what rubbish....and it looks like an exceptional game too...only it does'nt work properly....did they not see this before they released it....why hasn't somebody at Gearbox or Ubisoft stepped up to the plate and admitted it needs fixing???...Will X-Box 360 play this game properly???...I loved Hill 30...even with its minor problems in sound and lag....but EIB is ridiculously flawed...so frustrating....what to do now??....just buy Call of Duty 2 and hope for the best....or call the Better Business Bureau and whine to them....what a mess...shame on you Ubisoft!!...I'm demanding a refund...not an exchange...

I checked it out and if the product is faulty then you can have a refund not necessarily an exchange.
If you get a tricky retailer not wanting to give you a refund then print all these threads out and say now do you believe there is a problem, if still no joy threaten trading standards.

I remember a game called Half Life, first came out on the PC several years ago, each level took 5mins literaly to load, in the end the company had to/or were forced to send out CD with a patch on it, the file was so big that downloading it was impossible being that broadband wasn't around then.

Come on UBI at least tell us if you are working on a fix.

Oy! What a rotten mess this is!! I exchanged one copy of EiB for another copy and the game still plays chock-full of bugs(audio lag/choppy frame rate!) I wish I had read these forums before purchasing the game, now I've wasted $55 on a game that will only collect dust. It's a shame 'cause RtH30 is one of my all-time favorite games... what a joke.

when i went into the xbox dashboard and turned the sound to mono and also turned off that lighting graphic effect(forgot what it was called but its in the options) most of the stuttering seems to stop. Im still on the first level towards the end and I havn't come into a major stuttering issue that wasn't already in RTH30. I hope this also works for you.
Update:
Well, now that I beat the first level the stuttering is back on the second level and I just a got message saying my disc might be dirty or damaged. It seems to me that most of the problems occur within the first half of the levels.
I dont know if they could do this or not but what they should do is a recall of the game and send out fixed copies. I say this because when Ghost In The Shell 2 came out on DVD they did a recall of the disc because they didn't put the proper subtitles in and they only had ones for the hearing impared. To me this sounds like the best thing to do if they don't come out with an update.

ok, i just got another copy....yes it is still horrible. I did try turning the sound to mono aswell but the glitches seem to come back.
A recall would be the best thing in this situation!
