Can anyone help?

I've just bought a PC vesion of BIA EIB. I have successfully managed to install the game and can run it. I have been through the tutorial section without any audio or visual probs or PC crashes. But when I try to load a story or a skirmish, it crashes my PC. I have tried to alter my display settings in XP - to no avail, I have also changed the sound mode to safe (on the game consul) again without any success. My PC specs are as follows:
3.4 GHz Intel Pentium 4 Processor 550
1GByte of RAM
ATI Radeon 9250 256 Mbyte Graphics
AC97 Sound

I am having the identical problem. Except that it seems that I can get further into Chapter one each time the computer crashes and reboots. My computer specs are nearly identical to all1oyd, except I have a 2.8GHz P4. Somebody out there have any ideas?!?!?!?!?

okay, sure blame the software..

When you accept the fact that it just might be your computer...post your full system specs and drivers used. Also if you are getting an error and the computer is rebooting..then shut that reboot on error function off.
