Im using Vista SP1 premium. Got good specs and so on. Relativly new dvd room. Funny thing is that it actually worked to install the game on my laptop with XP. thoguh this shouldn't got anything to say 1) I've seen people using XP with same problem as me 2) it says it support SP1 :-(. The dvd room is also alot older on the laptop, so its not the dvd room which is failing on my stationary comp.

Yes, this isn't a Vista problem, happens on XP too. I wish we could get support for this problem or at least tell us where we can find the log files.
