My rig has a P4 3.6GHz CPU (with hyperthreading). Will this CPU run BiAHH? Are there any benefits of upgrading to Dual or Quad core? Do games actually take advantage of the extra cores? Thanks for your help.... |

Hello.Yes, you'll see noticeable performance increase with a dual core CPU.Most modern games are much complicated in terms of what CPU operations they perform ingame, so single core CPU's will generally not cut it.Hyperthreading is ancient now, you should get a Dual Core CPU, and even better a Quad Core one.The prize diferrence is small, and it's a rock solid investment.
Kind Regards, Maldenyus. |

No, you do not need a dual core CPU to play BiAHH.
I took a chance, bought the game the other day and it's working fine using a P4 3.6GHz single core CPU. I'm getting 30-40fps at 1280x1024 on all details high. (I suppose my four year computer still has some legs left but I think an upgrade is due soon) Great game by the way. Well done Gearbox!! |

It's like a few other games lately, the game requirements say dual core but provided:
!: you have a fast single core 2: you have a good video card Most people will still be be able to play. The problems come when people with slow single cores and low performance video cards try to play. Official Whisky taster and Herald to the Mighty Alderbranch. "The clues are out there.....S.N.A.F.U."
