I have the exact same Problem! Won't even present an install screen! Nothing happens, nothing at ALL!!!

Just bought a laptop with a geforce 8600 running on vista and the eib setup will not run. I miss my game

Vista SP1 solves this problem.

You just need to apply SP1, then when you install EIB, choose not to reboot when asked.
Instead download and install the update to the Starforce protection drivers and then reboot.
