This is to solve the problem during installation where the extracing files delete themselves halfway through and exits to your Desktop. Well it worked for me anyway, here's how:
1. obtain a Laptop (notepad) preferably with Vista (borrow a friend's if they're nice enough to lend it to you) 2. Install the game on said laptop. 3. Hopefully installed correctly, find the game folder, (c:// Program files/ ubisoft/ gearbox software / BIA HH) you get the idea) then either by using a USB lead to connect the laptop to your PC, or the way I did it which was using blank DVD roms to burn the files, obtain the game folder from the laptop and put it on your PC (use common sense if you are using DVD's, a standard DVD rom can hold about 4.37 GB, and the game file is 6.69GB, so you should only need 2) 4. Using the Game folder on the laptop as a blueprint, place all the files and folders in the right order on your PC (if you used the DVD method, you will probably need to create your own "Ubisoft" "Gearbox Software" "Brothers in Arms - Hell's Highway" "Sumacgame" and "CookedPC" Folders, as they would have been too large to burn as a whole) 5. Providing you did all this correctly, insert the official BIHAA CD in your drive (cancel the autorun) and in your newley "installed" game folder, find the "binaries" folder, wherein there is the "biahh.exe" file, create a shortcut, double click, and play! (some people would use a NO DVD, but there's no real need) I hope this helps, i'm no tech expert, but if you want to PM me about this go ahead! Cheers for reading! |

What i tried to do was to connect my extern hard drive to my laptop. Install it, and than connect the hard drive (extern one) to my stationary comp. It works to install the game on the extern hard drive on my laptop. But when i try to run it, i got message from windows saying: program is not working correctly, and needs to be closed - "do you want a send a report or not to windows bla bla". There for i saw no point of transering files to main comp. Guess this option doesn't work.

Btw, i dont got a folder called "binaries". the exe file is on the front page when i explore the cd. Are you suppose to have this folder called binaries containing exe. file?
One more thing, do anyone know of a free cd burner prog? Dont got it on my comp. as i haven't burned in ages. |
