There isn't a way to remove the language. If it really bothers you can always just turn down the speech volume. But then you can't hear anything else they say.

I think the language is okay because it gives you an idea of how they actually talked. Maybe you personally didn't use language, and that's great, but I'm almost positive that you knew many other people in Vietnam that talked that way correct?

I found a way to remove most of the foul language.
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Gearbox Software\"click each plus sign untill you get to your in game name. click your in game name. In the right box you will see User.ini file. Double click on it. this opens note pad. Scroll down (really far down) to [Engine.Player Controller]Then look about eleven (11) lines down. Your looking for bNoMatureLanguage= False. Replace False with True. Now go to the top of the page The File Tab and click it then click save (not save as) Now close the note pad.
Right click on the User.ini file. Click on Properties. Under General Tab at the bottom check Read-only. Then click apply and then OK. Your done. Go play the game and see. Hope this helps.

Just my 2 cents. My brother was in the Marines during Vietnam, and did a tour over there. I'm sure we're all familiar with the salty language of Sgt Hartmann in Full Metal Jacket. My brother said that was truest portrayal of boot camp he's ever seen in a movie made about the time period. So I would have to say, yes there was some foul language used by a few. Smile

Hi all; Yes I'm sure that salty language was used in the Corps and all. I just can't remember it being said during a fire fight. I just wish there was a part of the game in the options that would allow me to turn off the foul language. Not that any one else has to use it. It is each persons right to, or not to, have it present in there life, or to use it themselfs. I am not trying to change any one else' way of doing things, or how they live, or what they say. I'm just asking for the choise. Thank you all for the replys. Have a very Merry Christmas and a great and Happy New Year.
