I have following problem: the game doesn't keep any saves after the church chapter.
As long as I stay in game, loading from the last checkpoint works fine, but as soon as I exit the game, I start again at the cemetary in front of the church, no matter how far I played before.

I have the same problem, and I tought, maybe I need a profile to save, so me trying to make a profile, but I can't!
Every profilename I enter, it says: Profile name already excists.

Anybody knows a solution?

I've found the answer myself. It is the same problem & answer as with UT3, on your dekstop, go to the shortcut, properties, and in the 'goal' field, you'll see the link to your ubisoft/gearbox/brothers in arms/binaries/biahh.exe thingie. That link is between double quotes. Place this behind those quotes: -nohomedir

You'll get: "directory for your game" -nohomedir
