Hey, I just wanted to start a thread that lets people know about new reviews of the game and discuss the reviews.

Here is the first review for the English audience I have seen:

Review.

The site reviewed a Japanese import of the title and gave it a 9.4, which is a really good score (especially saying they were not even playing the final U.S. version).

For what it's worth, EDGE magazine gave it a 9. I wouldn't expect all the scores to be this high, but things look good so far.

All of the reviews I have read say that it is great! The only con is that it is slightly on the short side if you are just playing through the story. I bet I can drag it out much longer though considering how terrible I am at games. Blink

There's supposed to be some side missions and jobs and shopping around and looking for stuff. I've always liked to just explore so I'm sure I can make it stretch.

You also have to keep in mind that reviewers need to finish up games to get to writing their reviews, so any claims about the games length is sometimes unfair.

Yep, those are all factors that most likely apply to the reviewers of this game. I expect they simply rushed through the game without fully taking their time to enjoy it.

I picked up a copy of the Nintendo Magazine at my local grocery store to see if there was anything NMHs related in it. I was disappointed to see that there was nothing whatsoever. Not even a small advertisement. Frown

If you find the Holiday issue somewhere, it has a really great in-depth look at the game and specifically the combat system (I receive Nintendo Power at via mail, so I cherish my Holiday issue with No More Heroes as the cover story).

I tried to find some scans but failed miserably. Do you think you could upload some scans of the magazine?

Sadly, my scanner is broken... But, I will see if I can get it fixed tonight sometime and then will post any scans I am able to get done in readable quality (I will make a post on here if I get it through). You can always check out the numerous reviews of the game being posted tonight by various sites!

FYI: GameTrailers.com has posted their review of No More Heroes, already watched it, final overall score = 8.2 (a good score for any game even though it is not as high as the others thus far).

I have yet to watch their review and I am curious to see what they have to say about it. Most of their reviews are solid and shed light on most of the gameplay factors.

Just to let everyone know, IGN has posted its review of No More Heroes giving it a final score of 7.8 out of 10.0, which is still a good score for any game. They absolutely loved the entire game and experience other than the overworld that tries to be a openworld.

I hear many people were getting more excited about the GTA style that the game was taking on but the bits that are actually like GTA, the free roaming world and such are simply just a means to continue the linear story line. I do not see a problem with that but I can see why people would be slightly disappointed.

Just got done watching the X-Play review.

They gave it, wait for it, wait for it - a 5 out 5. Go No More Heroes!
