I don't know what is the real name of this move but it's the one that Travis moves on the side of the target, the background become dark and then you're free to combo. So here's my question, how do you perform a "darkstep". I can do it by spamming Left and Right while blocking a chain attack but what is the real way to perform it?

p.s. If someone know the real name of this move, please let me know.

I actually don't know how exactly to do it... I never even noticed the inconsistencies in the move until the end of the game. But after working at it, I'm not even sure that there's technique involved...

Here's how I think it works (though I can only guess): The "Darkstep" is actually random, and less likely to occur than the normal slide. However, once activated, the probabilities switch, and the normal slide becomes less likely to occur than the darkstep. Once the normal step occurs again, the probabilities switch yet again, and the cycle continues...

...I think.
