Just because you think it's unimportant, doesn't mean that other people don't want it. It's a creatively done manual and this type of idea should be encouraged instead of stifled. The whole entire point of No More Heroes is that it's supposed to be a social commentary on our culture ranging from video games, comics, sex, violence and punk. Suda 51 has stated that in every interview of the game, if you've been following his words which you apparently haven't.
Every time I start playing without it, the game's introduction sequence feels like it's missing something... Not only that, Ubisoft half-assed the translation and censored page 3 of the comic when they finally released only 4 pages of it on the official site. It's nice that there's a reference to Suda 51's older work but it just doesn't feel right. It's still wrong that it's censored. That goes against the whole idea of punk. To not be restricted, to be free. Isn't that the fundamental principle that America was founded on? You don't need to be condescending to us. We're adults, we can handle it.
What I can't handle is that when I spent fifty of my hard earned dollars on the game, I didn't pay Ubisoft to be lazy with the localization. I paid them to do their job, to which point they didn't. The manual that came with the game is full of mistakes. There are subtitles in the game that don't match up with the dialog and the descriptions for some items aren't spelled correctly. It made the game less enjoyable that somebody didn't bother to proof read, they did not care.
Money is tight around here now, especially after my mom got out of a car crash. After a series of disappointments, I didn't expect to be let down again. I was looking for a way cheer myself up after my friends and family were constantly talking behind my back wondering why I wasn't there for her even though I was the one who talked to the towing company, drove across the county to two different cities to get the police report that wasn't even ready yet, got her personal items out of the now completely mangled mess which used to remotely resemble a car and chauffeured my moms' replacements' (friends or family depending on the day) to work and to the hospital to see her. This was immediately after my parents told me to do this for them. Nobody had any idea that I was the only one that went to the hospital everyday to go see her when there were people that didn't even feel like going anymore. I worked my ass off and did I get anything for it? No. Not even a thanks. From anyone. At least now I know who will be there for me, none of them. Friends and family, who needs 'em, feh.
This half-assed attempt does not cut it. Ubisoft has some of the largest studios in the entire world. The very least they could is print the damn manual, uncensored, and send it out to those who bought the game with an apology. I'd rather have a physical copy in my hands in order to feel satisfied. If a small company like Irrational Games can do it, Ubisoft definitely should too. Actually, they did more than just ship replacement Big Daddy figurines, they printed a full color art book that's pretty thick. If I had known Ubisoft was going to be lazy about it, I would have kept my money.
P.S. - Who the hell uses the word dweebs now? What era are you still stuck in, the 80's? *Shudder*
Edit: If you still think that's not important, look up Frank Zappa. During a debate against Kandy Stroud of the PMRC (who is for legislating placing mandatory lyrics on albums so that parents can avoid purchasing the obscene ones for their kids), he pulls out his album so he can read to the audience his hilariously written warning labels which Zappa had voluntarily placed years before anyone in the media even brought the subject up. Frank Zappa used every surface available to entertain and inform, that's extremely admirable of him. The PMRC originally wanted to censor obscene lyrics and yet Zappa fought this all the way to the senate. He did this to point where the PMRC kept bowing down to his demands and eventually dissolving their involvement in the entertainment industry to nothing. That's because when Frank Zappa got the word out people finally realized what one person finds offensive, another one would completely shrug it off so there's no standard way to officially regulate this. Even if you do get offended, you'll eventually move on. They're just words and images, it's not going to physically hurt anybody. It's thanks to Zappa that Americans still have their freedom of speech.

wow, bushido way to pile it on thick. you apparently are more upset with ubisoft than you are with me. so i suggest you let them know how disappointed you are. nice story about your mom too, what the devil does that have to do with this game anyway? you are quite the good son and samaritan doin' what you did for her. and since your friends are such turd-burgurlars just let me know when you need an extra 50 bucks to buy a game. oh yeah and thank goodness for Frank Zappa cuz he kept our freedom of speech rights alive, we owe it ALL to him, pshaw! dude, you are such a drama-queen. p.s. i figured i would use the word dweeb BECAUSE no one uses that word anymore. "i fart in your general direction!"

Thanks, Bushi. I had forgotten about that particular shining note in musical history. Made me smile. Perhaps we can look forward to importing an artbook to make up for the manual. It's a shame that this beautiful game was paired with laziness and subpar packaging on Western shores. Even the localized swearing turned out to be disappointing. I want to hear some passion and hate in that cursing!
I was wondering about that on the way home. I thought that this game would have a color manual but it didn't. It's one of the few Wii games I have that's so lazy and cheap that the manual isn't in color. I played this game all night and the bits of cursing I heard were immature. The difference between when kids curse and when adults curse is that adults usually hhave passion in their voices. Tey aren't just saying **** to be saying it, they're saying because they're speaking their emotions in a strong manner that conveys that feeling through oth sounds and the damn words.
I normally don't post obscenities, but it's there to show meaning. I'm 20 years old, and I spent $50 to buy an awesome game that's been censored and beat with a cheap stick. You guys better not do this with the next game, and hopefully it should come with something to make up for this. If the next game is censored, well I'll just be buying your games used from now on Ubisoft. You know what that means, I still get to enjoy them as much as I can, but you get none of the money.

Welcome to the world of nUbisoft. Pay a visit to the Rainbow Six forums if you wanna hear about complaints and halfassery.
It does suck that they cheaped out so bad on the manual. I just picked up NMH last night and I really like it.
Sorry to hear about your mom. I hope things get better for you. It sounds like you need someone to talk to. Unfortunately this forum (and Gamefaqs definitely) are not the place for that, as you can see when you get flamed by insensitive types.
EDIT: No amount of "you better not do this next game" will change what they do. Trust me.
