So, I've been noticing how increadibly awesome this games music is, and I felt the need to actually buy the soundtrack, not download it off of some site. $35 seemed like quite a bit, but hey, it's going to be awesome Razz

Anybody else buying it? I highly doubt Ubisoft will bring it to the US, so it's likely you'll have to import it. Grasshopper games ALWAYS have excellent music though that is actually something you can listen to outside of the game (in other words, it doesn't sound like something you'd hear in Mario or Zelda or Final Fantasy. Not game-y). Should be pretty sweet.

I have yet to hear any of the songs from the soundtrack but I cannot wait! I have a few from other soundtracks and I am sure I will purchase this one as well.

I have the soundtrack! I can't remember where I got it from though. I could upload it on megaupload and post it if you want.

That would be great! I was looking for somewhere to purchase it besides importing it but had no luck. It would be fantastic if you could upload it though! Big Grin

Here it is:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=65q39wyp

It's a big file, but it's got everything. It'll take a while for it to download, but there ya go.

It says that it is currently unavailable, I suppose it is trying to process it.

Thank you for your diligent work! Thumbs Up

The music in video games is part of the video game experience. Each song is generally linked to a certain event, person or location in the game, and usually video game music is made by a single composer unless it's some massive theatrical release, such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

I'm not that big a music person, I'm a game person, and I like my music in games where it belongs. I'll pass on buying some $35.00 CD that will become outdated someday as more games are made and more soundtracks are released for insane prices.

I do not know what was wrong with megaupload yesterday but it is working today. I downloaded Steveaux's version to compare it to Pedrastro's, Pedrastro's is only the few sample songs while Steaveaux uploaded the full blown 49 track soundtrack. And it sounds great! Big Grin

Suda 51 said that the music for No More Heroes was inspired by punk music and has a hip-hop vibe since Santa Destroy is based on San Diego, California.

The guy (whose name I cannot think of right now) who did the work on the soundtrack of the game is going to be talking at GDC (pretty cool stuff) - at least No More Heroes is getting some recognition.
