Three days and it'll be in our hands.

Everyone, keep promoting this game as if you were getting paid. And if you are getting paid, shame on you, because this game isn't being promoted enough!

I am a mod for the Chiller TV boards, Chiller is a horror channel on Directv and I have been promoting No More Heroes like crazy. I have already convinced many people who own a Wii to buy it. Razz

But a few more people will not drastically help sales. We need Ubisoft to help out!

So what is everyone else planning to do before getting the game? I know I will have to stock up on Hostess Hohos and Doritos so that I am fully prepared to enjoy the experience! Razz

Anyone else have preparation plans?

Well, I was thinking about playing through Killer7 again (on Killer8 difficulty of course), but I got distracted Razz

The game looks a little similar to God Hand in combat style, so, maybe that'll be a game to play beforehand Razz

I plan to maybe play it with a friend over if he's not doing anything (He preordered it too). I'll have the whole day to myself, so I'm good. He hasn't played killer7 yet, but he's really interested and respects Suda 51 for what he's doing.

Put in my pre-order today! Will be picking it up Wednesday (cannot pick it up until the afternoon/evening, Sad ).

The seconds, minutes, and hours are going by too slowly...

Go Suda 51 and No More Heroes and Wii!

That's right! One day! Twenty-four hours! Finally! Aha! Delicious!

PenPen is right though, we all need preparation plans.

Picking up the game: Seeing as this is probably the most insane game to date, it is fitting that we should nab the game while looking insane. I always wear shorts, even when it's about ten degrees outside, so I always look nuts. I might where my otaku shirt because Travis is one hell of an otaku. Everyone should wear something out of the ordinary when they pick up their copy. I'd also suggest calling Gamestop or wherever you're getting it and finding out how many copies they plan to get. If they're only getting one because you, one guy, preordered it, tell them not to rip it open as a display copy. You know you want it sealed. Similarly, tear the game open in the store and check the disc. We don't like damaged "brand new" games.

Playing the game: Have backup batteries at all times. There is no horror worse than a Wii-mote sans batteries. You may also want to have snacks handy. I'm a fan of plain old water, really, so that and maybe some beef jerky ought to do it for me. Also, if your TV can use component cables, get them. They make a huge difference.

Handling your responsibilities: First, take care of as many chores before you grab the game. I plan to take out the trash in the morning so I won't have to do it later. Likewise, some of us are in finals week. I already got accepted into college (Rochester Institute of Technology: Video Game Design and Development Program), but I need to maintain a decent average so I don't get denied later for being lazy. Studying is sort of impossible to do permanently beforehand, so you'll have to either sacrifice game time, study time, or sleep. It's your call, chief!

Promoting the game: Be sure to log on to AIM, Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, or whatever you use and leave an away message saying that you're playing No More Heroes, the best game ever. Leave them a link to the opening video or something. When you take a break from playing the game, assault every forum you can, telling them how awesome the game is. If you can write a non-biased review, do it. Tell your friends about how awesome it is. Once you've beaten and unlocked everything, maybe loan it out. Tell everyone about this game!

I hope my suggestions prove useful to you all. You might want to see about a soundtrack download (and purchase!) so you can blare music in your car. See you in a day, guys.

My plans for preparation: Get case of beer, 3 packs of cigarettes, and some nachos.

It's going to be nice. My classes don't start until 11:15 on Thursday, so I should be able to stay up late and get relatively drunk while playing.

Beer + new kickass game = win Cool

That is the best preparation plan that I have ever read. Awesome job!

Well, I am planning on doing all of my homework tonight so I will not have to work on it tomorrow at all. Also, I plan on taking care of anything else I need to do before tomorrow so that way I will be able to spend as much time with the game tomorrow as possible.

Tomorrow cannot come soon enough! Hammer

It appears I have set everyone's plan in motion. Wonderful.

I've got the following gear set up:
Spare batteries
Doritos
Water
Shirt that says "Otaku"
Spider-Man lanyard with Space Invaders keychain
Nintendo wristband
Raccoon City Police Department wristband
ID (It's rated M, folks!)

I'm half-tempted to wear a sombrero. On the flipside, I prefer not getting tackled by mall security for looking suspicious.

I still have a few more papers to write so I will have to wait to pick up the game until this weekend. Frown But Mr. Smiley's plan reminded me that I need to get batteries, that remote is always dying on me causing me to go downstairs to get batteries. Then when I put them in downstairs the game suddenly turns on upstairs and all chaos ensues. Googly
