I've been telling everyone I can about it. Not everyone has a Wii, though, which is problematic. But everyone I've shown it to has been really surprised. All the pro wrestling fans want it, the anime kids want it, everyone.
Personally? This game has everything I love. Everything. Lucha libre all over, "light sabers", assassins, naughty French girls named after x-rated movie characters, old-school gaming graphics and sound effects, and random hilarity.

Man, I'm really glad they did push up the date, hopefully this way some people will actually buy it before they inevitably pick up Smash Bros.
Personally though, I'm interested in seeing the cat.
"Once you get No More Heroes, you may want to pay particular attention to one section of the game. When in the room of Travis, the main character, you have the chance to interact with a cat. Apparently, Suda didn't like the cat's motion at first, and his staff had to spend two months working on that small area of the game before he would approve"
Great idea on Ubisoft's part to bump the date to January out of the way of Brawl's release.
The release of this game gives me something to look forward to during my finals week at school, being that the game releases during the middle of finals week.
I will be getting this title and then I will be even farther behind on my video game playing (backlog of games from Christmas and before).
Yeah, this comes out on the 22nd, but of course it won't hit stores until the 23rd. If it somehow manages to be in stores the 22nd, I'm totally screwed for my physics final.
Also, it's funny that the release was moved ahead to avoid competing with Brawl, yet Brawl got delayed today.
The days are getting longer in more ways than one. I haven't been this excited for a game since maybe Resident Evil 4 or Metal Gear Solid 2. But this time, I'm excited over a game that's a NON-sequel. That says a lot when the gaming community is excited over a game that doesn't have a preexisting franchise. It means the game is grabbing people's attention from the get-go and that the devs have already earned themselves a fan base. This is how gaming should be.
I also am glad the game's getting some hype without being a sequel, although it's a shame it's not being promoted other than in gaming media (see the advertising thread for more details).
I have to wait until the end of the month. It is okay though since my schedule will be packed and I do not want to play it until I have time to do it justice.
