I ought to try and keep this thread updated with fresh new fanart once in a while.

Now, who fancies a cuppa?

The rest of my fanart can be seen here.

Yeah, this one is. Watercolours are so nice to work with. <3 Markers are nice too. Plus it might be the only thing to work with at the mo because my tablet pen is playing up again and I can't stand using a mouse to colour.

This one's just a warm up for the big contest entry of mine. Thanks.

I'm a fan of herbal tea myself. :9 Mainly nettle and dandelion, though I'm always making tea and coffee at work.

I'm not much of a tea fan myself...and it's pretty warm down here right now. I might make some hot chocolate anyways. Maybe the heat will help clear up my sinuses.

Me, I prefer fruit-teas, preferably with a spoon of honey... x3

What paper did you use, by the way? It looks spiffy.

I often use this paper that my aunt gave to me years ago, and it came in HUGE sheets. Like, A1 size, which I cut down to my preferred size. Not the thickest but it has a nice texture. I've yet to find a really good watercolour paper that can take coloured bottled ink well though.

As for watercolours and that, I mostly use the Reeves brand, and some leftovers from a pack of Maries watercolours I bought from a Chinese gift shop years ago.

And what exactly is wrong with good ol' watercolours? Maybe I can't use flash because my computer can't run it fast enough, rofl.

Please tell me you're just a troll picking on pro-Rayman fans.

Flash rules.

If your computer doesn't run it then its faulty

Loki, flash isn't everything. I know from personal experience, that drawing pictures in flash is kinda the wusses was out of drawing amazing things. I used to use it for my lineart because I didn't want to learn how to use the pen tool. Now I use the pen tool, which looks much better than the effects of flash.

People who use traditional materials, amazing photoshop techniques, etc. normally come up with much better end results than most could ever do with flash. In flash you're very limited on what you can do.

So, word of advice: don't downtalk other techniques. Flash is not the winner in the artist world.

Exactly. I've used Flash before and it was the most intimidating app I've ever come across. I'm surprised I learned Photoshop a lot more easily.

Oh, Photoshop is TONS better, especially when you learn just how potent every tool is for your work! I use the Photoshop magazines once in a while, or my college-airhead boyfriend takes the wheel and shows me how to do my work.

Freedom of choice and personal preference are wonderful things.... more importantly the right to make that choice without insult from others Wink
