That would be nice. Smile

Ok, bye... I'll be anxious to see how far you can get with this game in the month I'm off...

Alright. Smile Have a nice trip.

I already gave this out to some people a while ago, but here's a sample of the interface (customizing gamepad).

Also showing the game running in fullscreen (16-bit) display.

So next order of business when I post screenshots:
- Desert of the final game (it looks more like a desert and less like a beach! Big Grin lol)
- Caverns and Mines of the final game (the pirates are harnessing something down here...)
- The Summit and Encampment
- The Temples of Ice and of Shadow (attempt at something like the sanctuaries of Rayman 2...)
This might be a while from now (at least a week) since I'm starting my job soon, but those will appear ASAP.

These screenshots will also demonstrate the appearance of:
- How the lighting will actually effect gameplay
- The effects of elements in the game (fire supplies light, electricity shorts out electronics, fire melts ice, ice turns to water which in turn can flood rooms, creatures of the desert are less effected by fire than those of the mountains, wind drives turbines which can supply electricity to elevators or gates)
- Phoenixan's ability to grab purple lums, wall jump (or whatever we decide to make it into if you all think of something better to do), or take control of shadow creatures
- How sometimes NPC's will come and help you fight, and teamwork will be necessary (it's more like how Beyond Good and Evil worked when it came to Pey'j or HH)

So yeah, skipping the city now that we've all seen enough of it, and it hasn't changed since the last batch of screens. Big Grin And FYI: The deeper portions of the caves are PITCH BLACK now. XD So next time you see how the game looks, you'll see more of it than you've ever seen before. FINALLY.

By the way, anyone know good recording software besides FRAPS that'll work for recording my game? I'd love to record more than 30 seconds at a time without paying money for it. :\ I found a better, freeware one before my old PC died, but it doesn't work on Windows Vista. Unless someone wants to volunteer for making trailers or something, and I can give them the game files on MSN whenever I'm ready for that.

I made up a new userbar. A shadow one to come in the future.

There's a crappy forum glitch where the url thing is making it into a link, even within the code tags. :\ Oh well.

No problem. Smile

They're subject to change because I'm adding in more animations and types of pirates (such as the ninja pirates from Great Escape), but feel free to alter them as you wish or make new ones for use in my game or for concepts. Or they're also free for your own use.. just credit me. XD

And I know I haven't delivered updates on time, but I'm still working (kind of slow at the moment) because I'm working these days for MONEY. But I'll get a load done on the weekend.

I'll probably only add the ninja pirate, since Phoenixan more-so focuses on other types of enemies as well (creatures native to areas and soldiers from the swamplands). The game indeed has a lot of pirates, but the pirates aren't your only main enemy.

Thank you really much, I need them because I'll make a Rayman tribute level for a Mario Fangame.

Do you also have the pirate ship? That would be useful.

Sure.
Thanks again. Smile
I showed the pictures and credited you, I also suggested to check Raymanzone for your fangame, I'm sure we also will credit you in the game if the level is done and if it will be in the game.

Omg! You're awsome at sprites! bow

I've never seen anyone else do sprites of the robot-pirates before. I looked on a few sites and spriters recourse even that site didn't have anything like this.

Excelent job Ryan Clap
I just played the demo. It's really fun!

I am a huge Rayman fan! Big Grin

So what if I'm different. That's what makes me speical!

Thank you. Smile

I do have to give a big thanks to Droolie though for making an animated gif out of the ripped animations from the N64 version of Rayman 2. (I think that's what he did anyway.) It was a big help for changing the pirates into what they are now, so that they don't walk like zombies (demo).
