Can someone please post references to Fly Mode patches for Myst IV and any other Myst games, for that matter.

Uru CC flymode installation (for Windows).
A few players have asked me for instructions about installing the Flymode Patch.

Here is a copy I have made for myself.

If somebody with a better control of the english language and has experience with this installation who has a good text, be my guess and post it here, please.

PoTS flymode version will work for all sections.
(ABM, Uru to D'ni, The Path of the Shell)

Patch available ... Send me a Private Message and I will tell you where to get it.

1- Best to make a backup of the Uru CC game in "your documents"
or at least, of your saved games from the, in game, SAV folder.

2- You need a clean game folder. (re: no saved games)

3- Copy the "FlyMode Patcher 1.3.exe" in the Uru CC Python folder
(inside the general game folder)

4- Click on this exe patcher and an Installation Wizard will open.
Show the path all the way down to the Python folder (one step at the time).
You will not see the .exe Patcher at the end. (its ok)
and click to execute in this kind of installShield window.

5- Re-copy your saved games in the game "sav folder"

Keybord control keys

Press escape key to activate the Flymode

Press escape key to deactivate the Flymode.
(make certain you are above solid ground)

Use spacebar to go up and/or down

Use arrows to move in any directions

Use caplock (running mode) to move faster.
If you do, at times you will have to wait for the
in game camera to catch up with your avatar.

You can use the F1 key (B4 activating the flymode) to change the view.

Myst 4 can never have a fly mode since it's a rendered game.

Edit: The stuff about the mysterious Myst 5 flymode was a false alarm. I was unable to reproduce it.

Fabulous! I wish I still had my Myst 5 to try it!

I am a little sad to discover they removed my Moderator status without even telling me or asking me if I was still around (which I am, just don't find it necessary to come often anymore).

Oh well. I'm glad to see you are alive and well and because of your signature I am psyched to now adventure into URU as I was never able to with a Mac!

Since you say it, I have to beleive it but for some personnal reasons, I am not too surprised they could do such a thing.
