I was looking forward to this game and bought it on Friday the 29th of December. However, on playing it I find

-Massive slowdown especially when using vehicles (particularly the ATV).

-Lookahead range is too short... islands pop up out of nowhere.

-When using the sniper rifle and several other weapons, textures disappeared from the surface of the weapons.

-The game has also frozen many many times. Pressing the power (on the Wii unit and controller) or reset buttons yields no response and I am forced to switch the unit off at the wall. This is the glitch that has actually made me not want to play this game. I'm worried about damaging my brand new Wii.

-The player response is also incredibly slow with the wii remote.

Ultimately, the game looks rushed. I was looking forward to this game and I didn't want to wait a long time for it as there aren't that many titles for the Wii. However, I would've been glad to have waited a month or two longer for the developers to iron out these serious errors. Red Steel was slightly glitchy, but the level and frequency of serious errors in Far Cry spoils what would've otherwise been an awesome game (the gameplay is fantastic btw).

I have noticed some glitches myself while playing.

- When you get a truck gets hung up on rock or somthing, you can get out and look at one of the tires and it is spinning around. Now if you go to the other side and look that one is not moving.

- The aimming gets off once and a while (When sniping I had to move the scope down a bit to get a head shot when I 1st aimed at him it was directly in the center of his skull but missed.)

I bought this game, and have been really enjoying it. Despite some of the reviews I've read online, I thought the game looked good, and I was having a blast playing.

The game freezes from this load point after 10 sec. EVERY... SINGLE... TIME

As stated above, this freeze locks up my entire Wii. The concerns expressed above about damaging the Wii are shared equally by myself. And yet I keep trying to get this level to work because I've enjoyed playing the game so much.

This is such a disappointment. My only wish is that the game ACTUALLY WORKED! How can you guys release a game that is soooo messed up? At least put the system crashing, game ending bugs at the beginning of the game. That way I won't be enjoying the game as much when it gives up the ghost.

Of course, an actual working version of the game I bought would be much appreciated and welcome as compensation.

I find when these errors occur repeatedly at the same point in a game, the only way to fix it is to start playing the game from the start again. It seems to save bugs in the save file :S

I'm glad to see there are other people as disappointed as me though. I hope Ubi Soft are paying attention. I really think this game should be recalled, the errors are that bad.

I agree with the comments above. I was enjoying this game, but there are to many bugs and crashes. I have experienced all the faults mentioned above and it is not good enough.

Please Ubisoft send out a patch or do a recall.

I thought this game was good UNTIL the glitchs appeared. I leaped off a cliff on the game and i didnt die even though i should of. (it was like 20-30metre drop)

Like one person said, this game should be recalled

glitches here too and freeze ups...i have been traped under a plane wing and behind a box as well, and have had to unplug the game to get rid of the annoying noise when it froze up a few times...too bad as game is enjoyable in general!

I too have experienced glitches, mostly on the oil rig level. I even found how to fall below the fort into the water, throught the cement?

I actually had to restart the level, because I killed the sniper before it gave me the assignment to do so.

Despite all of this, I have beat the game and love it, I hope the next far cry will have better graphics than Turok actually have 3D leaves and less glitches. I love the play.

How did yuou get off the platform in the shutting down of the communications, the last radio is on another platform, I tried jumping onto the cable and fall everytime.

I had this exact problem, I could get as far as the bridge with the sniper rifle propped up against the bridge post, but then it froze and nothing I could do let me get past that point...but i didn't give up....here's what i did:

restart the level....the save point at the bridge is the problem......once you get to the point were you have to jump over the broken bride (after shooteing the first sniper)... carry on...but there is an alternitive save point for this level...its below...there is a wooden dam were you can jump up and over....the save point is here....so far i don't seem to have any problems now...apaart from getting shot by snipers i miss..lol.

I had the same problem with the game. This was the first game like this that I tried, and it really stinks that you get that far and the darn thing freezes on you. I made it to the oil refinery when the major problem started. I tried resarting the level just to have the same result. As I said I'm a newby at this ..
How do I fix or get a new game that actully works??????? Someone please help....
