Meh, you think that's bad? I travelled about 25 miles, at least, last week to take part in some games only to find they weren't on after all... which was nice

Whoo for ma carbon footprint!

Well, there hasn't been anything on for a few weeks now and I've been wondering that myself... I guess they're either too busy or maybe it's something to do with GTA IV being all the rage recently

You could try sending FRs using teh list and tagging along to a forumer game? Or setting one up. There's a pretty decent bunch round here ya know!

Glad to hear that, Sezzy (and it's possibly also good hosting practice for potential FD status, hmm?)

Um, fighting sim or flight sim? I guess you meant flight sim...

Flight sim-type console games (as they're not straight up, realistic sims) would be Blazing Angels on various formats and Ace Combat on the PS2.

But you are correct, there are indeed more flight sims on PC because the controls for that genre are usually quite complicated.

Um, Dead or Alive? Street Fighter? Fight Night? Hmm, would they count as fight sims?

I'm guessing so! I think something like Fight Night would be the closest thing to an actual fight simulator though.

i agree with ninja, dead or alive, street fighter, soul caliber, virtua fighter, wwe smack down, ninety nine nights, dead rising? theyre the only fighting ones i can think of for the 360.. but i class some role playing games as fighting ones like ninja gaiden probably cus its hayabusa from dead or alive series.. Sad

I'd not thought of Ninja Gaiden as a fight sim - but upon reflection i see what you mean! Just had another bash at the demo copy of NG2 i have (i really should buy it) and it bridges the gap between fight sims and RPG's. I think to add to the list, and along the same lines, you could maybe put Heavenly Sword in there too, what with the combo's and all.
