In answer to the Thread's question, I can say with 100% absolute certainty: "No, I am Not."

Yes it's going to be on hold for a while. Due to some commitments and our plans for the year we may not be recruiting for many months yet. The recruitment will happen but there's no set date for it at the moment.

As always we recommend that applicants just take part in community activities, keep reading the site and do lots of gaming. That will put you in a confident position when it it comes to officially applying.

I'd love to take part but I'm either:
Never Invited (Don't worry I don't hold it against you)
Invited but 'Can't access the server/lobby'
Invited but the room is full
or
Finally after about 20 attempts of 'Joining' and 'failing to connect to server' I actually get in the room only for the game night to be over Frown

I'm not having a go at anyone here, you guys are great, I've just not had any sleep yet haha, too much gaming and I ramble on a bit when deprived of sleep. If I stay awake much longer I'll probably get to that stage where I'm telling each and every one of you how much I love you...either that or I can get another cu of Tea to boost myself awake with the caffeine and play some more games!

Did I ever tell you guys how much I luff ya?......

Well i'm sure that there'll be some community gaming for Wii if you have one. I believe that Mario Kart Wii and Super Smash Brawls will be a calender event. *fingers crossed* Not played on Wii online yet!

Rest assure, plenty of us forumers are "game on" for various formats. And you know where to find them. Big Grin *bonus for making friends and rep building among the community*

There's bound to be more PC gamers than the ones listed in that linked thread surely? You still thinking of getting a 360 pixie?

EffEmmGee, you type really well for a sleep deprived person!

Would you want a guy who crawled through a sewage tunnel as a mate?

I know, I don't really use Mozilla Firefox, and I don't really have an in-built spell checker that underlines everything mis-spelt in red, so thats ok then.

I can't afford one. I'm working 40hrs+/week to support myself and my husband while he's doing his phd, plus my own driving lessons. there's no spare cash about :/

We do most of our online gaming on consoles. We don't have high spec PC's to play PC titles I'm afraid. As for getting into FD games on the 360 - I have always said that the rooms fill up quickly. You pretty much have to be there and in the room by 9pm on the dot or the space goes. We can't help that the rooms only take 10 or so people depending on the game. Many people wait patiently for another chance to get into the lobby later but a lot of people are impatient and would rather go play with others than sit and wait and I can understand that.

We've had session up on the PS3 and will do so again. The Wii is a problem because it's harder to connect to people on there with no integrated friends list showing who's doing what. It may be better when there are more online games available for it as Shaz says.

Plus, if you are late, you run the risk of being shot by your friends/forced to shoot your friends... hesitation and pangs of guilt ftl!

I'm one of the patient ones. Not sure why as I am sure a few people on my friends list wouldn't wait for me.

It just gets frustrating that when I do actually get an invite to a game (eg CoD4) I always get that message telling me theres an Error and cannot connect to Host/Server.

Although to be honest connection has been a heck of alot more reliant since leaving BT and going to Orange. I was lucky to stay on live for 10 mins before being DC'd before.

At least it's being delayed further, gives you a chance to get one later Smile
I don't have a 360 or a PS3 either, I'm a poor student. Crying
edit: while I'm here, Kitt, will you be coming to Animex again this year?

Are you girlies out there still keeping your essays as secret weapons for application? Typing

lol. With recruitment on a long hold, y'all got plenty of time to spell check them and swap some words over using the dictionary.
