I called a GameSpot here in Northern VA and they confirmed that Chessmaster Grandmaster for PC ($50) and Chessmaster for DS ($30) will be out in Sep. 2007. Ubi will hit a home run if the Chessmaster for DS is wi-fi enabled so you can play others over the Internet...anyone heard anything else?

A couple of sites are showing PSP, Xbox 360 and DS...but no PC version (which is really weird).

I'm seeing Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition for PC advertised for $38 U.S.. There is a discrepancy as to whether it will be released on October 1 or 25. Surely Ubisoft must know that the primary market for a chess game will be on PCs. There is just no way that that DS thing will run "The King" chess engine at anything close to full power.

If anyone from Ubisoft is reading this, you should develop a Deep Chessmaster version for multiple core and/or CPU systems.
