Has anyone else had the problem with the chessmaster 9000 allowing illegal moves by the PC. I am running V1.02a of Chestmaster 9000. I was playing a game rated at level 1400 against the PC (Aaron rated at 1389). The PC allowed the Black king to castle after the black king had been in check. This is obviously an illegal move. I did update to the latest patch and replayed the game, but the PC still allows the illegal move. Or am I mis-understanding something. Thanks

I hate to say this, but I think you might be overlooking something. Could you post the game so we can look at it?

What exactly do you mean with "after the king has been in check"?

It is illegal to castle WHILE the king is in the check, but it is not illegal if the king WAS in check sometime before. The only thing that is important is that the king (and the specific rook) didn't move before, and that the king doesn't pass through check.

Thanks- I mis-understood the rules of castling. I thought that the King could not castle after being in check. Guess it's back to the books again.
