This is the link for the chess sets I have created. There are 3 sets on the file. They are all based on shogi (the japanese chess) with wooden flat pieces pointing towards each other. In shogi they don't even have colours, changing sides (pieces return to the board) by changing orientation. On my sets they have colours, of course, but not always conventional ones. Hope you like it.
Ebutaljib, I've sent you one last set. This time a conventional one. I gave the FIDE set a treat. This one I will be using myself. Tell me what you think. Thanks for your help.
I've used the fide set made by skess as a base... you can find it in the download post above. Just download the tool for extracting the sets (available in the same post) and you will have the black and white versions of each piece alone. I used only the black version to create my set. If you want to use my set as a base and modify it, be my guest... the procedure is the same.
well, if there is, I really don't know. I didn't search since skess set sufficed me as reference; and I even changed one or two little details here and there. If your only concern is border definition, it isn't really difficult to correct them in photoshop, since resolution is low... I doubled resolution and corrected them by hand. If your concern is about form precision try the fide homepage. If you can get a decent resolution board with pieces, it should not be a problem isolating them, since they are all full black or full white. Why do you need all this precision. Tell me your goal so that I can help you better.
