i have vista 64, i updated to patch 1.03 and i still get the same error message

Do you have all the required ports open on your router?

Do you have any firewall/anti-virus software running? That might also pose a problem.

Also, if you haven't read the Chessmaster 10th Edition FAQ, this would be a good time to start... Smile
