Hi everyone!
I just recently purchased the 10th edition and I LOVE it! I am finding that I have a VERY big weakness when it comes to reaching Checkmate! I am able to play a strong, dominant game but I fall apart in the closing moments! My question is this: What is a good way to practice the closing moments of a game? I love the many resournces available in terms of "Openings" but there's nothing to help me finish opponents off! Any suggestions?? Thanks in advance!! Goat_Tongue@Yahoo.Com |

There are drills and tutorials to help with this. Also, you can set up a position from a real game, and try to finish it out. Use the mentor if you need a hint on a tough position.

Are you sure that you are playing so strong and dominant? ( more than theoretical skills ) Btw, I have that strange problem too. It's some kind of fear about making mistake in crucial moments. Josh W.'s tutorial is very good. I suppose you tried it alredy. |
