I don't know how to show the openings hints when I play with back pieces. You know, those little circles with dots inside.

I have no problem when I play on the white side, but I don't know how to switch them on when I'm playing with blacks.

I believe that the Chess Coach defaults to hints for white.

Go to the Mentor menu and select 'Chess Coach'. Then make sure that 'Opening moves' is checked. Then under Show Hints, check 'For Black'. That should do it.

For some odd reason, I'm not able to see your screen capture...

Show Hints is part of the Chess Coach window. There, you'll find the selections for Openings and Show Hints.

If you aren't seeing menus on the top of your screen, do a right-click. You should see some menus pop up... one of them is the Mentor menu, where you can select the Chess Coach. You can also hit Ctrl + C to bring up the Chess Coach as well.

Finally I found the problem!! And it becuase of your help, so, thank you!

Because when you have insisted in the coach menu, you gave me the idea. I went to Windows and set the font size to 96 ppp, I was using big fonts 120 ppp ... I restarted my computer and voila!!

The missing options are there!

This problem with the fonts size happens in Grandmaster edition too, yes I have both.

I don't know if I should call this thing a bug or not, but to all the people out there, beware to use 96 ppp!

Actually, the thing about the menus is already in the Chessmaster 10th Edition FAQ as well as the Chessmaster Grandmaster Edition FAQ.
