Hello!

I'm unable to update Chessmaster 1.0.0 (UK Version). When I run patch (10.2 or 1.03), I see the following error:



Patches that I use:
Chessmaster10thEditionPatch102UK.exe
chessmaster_10th_edition_v1.03_uk.exe

What is the problem? Thank you.

Btw: is there any way to attach image to my post without external linking?

The error messsage doesn't say the file name properly, so I'm not sure what file it is.

On my disk, the folder G:\Chessmaster\Data\Skin\BlackWhite\GUI_Resource\ButtonArt\
contains a number of files that start with word 'Captu':
CapturedButton1_d.bmp
CapturedButton1_u.bmp
CapturedButton2_d.bmp
CapturedButton2_u.bmp
CapturedButton3_d.bmp
CapturedButton3_u.bmp

It turns out, the problem was with file/folder access permissions. I had to manually give to myself permissions to modify/add/delete files in the Chessmaster folder and subfolders, because by default these permissions were off.

May be FAQ needs to be updated to mention this specific point...
