Hey all,

I'm trying to update CM to get online play. I'm getting that "Client Incompatible" error message. I currently have version 1.0 (I'm sure of this) and using the no-cd crack.

I renamed the no-cd crack and copied the original game.exe from the CD to the CM directory. I tried applying US 1.03 patch. I get the error message "Anim8.dll:Unkown Version". I have the patch pointing to C:\Program Files\Chessmaster 10, which is my install directory.

SO I downloaded patches prior to 1.03 .i.e. 1.01 and 1.02. I tried doing them in chronological order but I get the same "Anim8.dll:Unkown Version" error.

This is very frustrating.
