Dear Friends

I haved buy Chessmaster 10th Edition and after install in my computer I add patchs UK(the others dont work to me)1.0.2 and 1.0.3(theres a patch uk 1.0.1?)and maked one acount in Ubi Server all its say to me its:"Erro 50- server its incompatible with client"....

OBS.:

- The Cd its on the driver.
- I dont have Anty spyware or any thing like that turn on.
- I dont chave any Burn CD,Nero,etc...installed.
- no one ask about my serial stil now...
- Its can run with out Cd on the driver(?)...
- Sorry about my english.
- All I want its play Chessmaster on line.

Sounds like patch didn't install properly. You have to run it as administrator.

Thres only one acount in my computer and is the adminstrator....me!So what?Why dont works?

Please help ...I just haved buy this program to play on line...just for this.

If helps the patchs who i haved installed i haved to do this:

Apears a message:unknowow game.exe
Im put out this and add the patchs UK 2 and 3,
and put the game.axe again in your place.

Eletronic arts says the responsability with the problems on line is just with Ubi soft.

First:

If you're using Chessmaster 10th Edition, post in this forum only... if you post duplicate messages in other forums, they will be deleted without warning.

On to your question:

If you've tried the UK patches (there is no 1.01 patch for UK versions), then try the US versions. Just because you live in the UK doesn't mean you have that version (or vice versa). The "unknown version" indicates this.

Patches must be installed in sequential order. (i.e., 1.01; then 1.02, and 1.03).

If you're using Vista, just because you're the administrator doesn't mean you installed Chessmaster as administrator... right-click the file and select "Run as Administrator".

After installing the last patch, check 'Help About'. It should say version 1.03. You should also be able to run without the CD in the drive.

And now,what I can to do with erro 50?

You know, I am trying to help you... there's no need to be rude.

However, you've just told us what your problem is: Chessmaster 10th Edition (or any version of Chessmaster) is not supported on Windows 2000... you'll have to return it from where you purchased it and get another chess program if you want to play on Windows 2000.

In the Help menu, what version does it say: 1.00 or 1.03?

I'm curious what you mean in the last step? What game.exe did you put back???

What I haved maked(sorry about my english,if you not understand ,say me):

when add patch uk i see a mensage:"game.exe unknown"i take this profile and put on desktop,and run again the patch UK and works for me!I run the other patch and put again the "game.exe"in the same place he was it.

I run Chessmaster with out problem ,but on line don works.

Man,the patchs dont will run for me if i dont haved to to this....??

What I'm saying is that Chessmaster 10th Edition is not supported for use with Windows 2000... I've tried it myself, and never got it to run successfully. After that, I didn't even bother with online.

Frankly, I would recommend that you install Windows XP even if you aren't running Chessmaster.
