Hi. I tried to log in online today but a window poped up saying "Could not log to the router! The client is incompatible with the server. (ERR: 50)"
So what should I do to fix this problem? I've tried to search through the FAQ page, but it seems to be dead. Please help me! Thank you. |

At any rate, the solution should be to apply the 1.03 patch. Hopefully the downloads page isn't broken for you as well

Well I'll be, it worked! Yesterday I downloaded and installed what I thought was the latest patch only to have the program tell me there was nothing to update. Today, following the link in the FAQ, the patch installed and I'm now connected! Woo hoo. Now I just need to limber up the old chess chops. See you guys in the lobby sometime.

Hello!
I'm from Hungary. Last week I bought the game, installed it, then tried to connect to the ubi.com server, but it didn't work. I got this error: "Could not log to the router! The client is incompatible with the server. (ERR: 50)" I can't apply the 1.03 patch, I get this error: "This program cannot update the installed version of Chessmaste 10th Edition because of the following reason: C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Chessmaster 10th Edition\Anim8.dll: unknown version." Any solutions? THX |

With all the talk about the FAQ link in this post one would think you would have thought to read it! (That goes for you too, Martin ) You're trying to install the wrong version of the patch. That is, if you're trying to install the US patch, try the UK version, and vice versa. |

I had the same issue with the Anim8.dll unknown version error. It seems I also have the UK version for some reason... Strange... but the UK patch worked for me.
