Can anyone out there tell me what folder i should use to install the 3 patches i recently downloaded. When I go to install them no file path is displayed. Many thanks.

Most of the time, the folder where you installed Chessmaster is:

C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Chessmaster 10th Edition

That could mean that the game isn't installed properly. The patch checks the registry and knows where the game has been installed.

Patches have done nothing, cant log in. getting really annoyed now. usually when you buy a game it works. Does anyone know how to make it work as the patches did nothing.

Can't log in doesn't really say much. Also, if you have XP or Vista would be good to know.

I am on Vista and get -
ERR:50 - THE CLIENT IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH THE SERVER
I ran both patches for the uk version but it didn't do anything at all. Really annoying as I have been waiting to get online for ages, partly to play a bit of chess.
Would appreciate help but dont see what is wrong with it really.

I fixed it. Get the patch from www.focusmm.co.uk/support and run it with administrator rights and it works!
The patch on ubisoft site didn't work for me.

It's the link to the Ubisoft servers so you downloaded the same patch

You didn't run it as an administrator first time. Admit it.

Thanks for the help. I'll try installing the patches in the main chessmaster folder - I must admit I found it odd that it did not automatically point me in the right direction. Thanks again.

Did you install Chessmaster in the default folder (C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Chessmaster 10th Edition)? If you installed it somewhere else, that might be the cause of your problem.
