Everytime I try install the patches it says (in case of patch 3) "game.exe" file is unknown. I tried the advised fix (copy/paste the chess.exe from the original CD, but it hasnt worked. Note Im using original CD , not cracked. Please help

You didn't mention it, but did you install the first two patches? Keep in mind that you have to install all the patches in sequential order.

If the US patches don't seem to work, try the UK patches (or vice versa). You might also want to read the Chessmaster 10th Edition FAQ... it has some helpful hints about installing the patches.

First two patches wont install as well.. I tried both the us and uk versions. Just as info, my pack was bought in Germany, if that means anything...

Does it give the same error message when trying to install different patches?

Do you always have to have CD in the drive to play?

Yes, first check the version number in the About screen (go to the Help menu, and click on 'About Chessmaster 10th Edition'. If the version number is 1.0.3, then there's no need to install the patches.

Here you "complain" about the low number of players online. If your game wouldn't be already patched, you couldn't connect online

Your game is already patched up (although it may say v1.0.0)
