I got the game, the 1.3 patch. Both installed fine. But here are the problems.

1) The file menus are still pink. Not only pink, but just awful looking and borderline unreadable.

2a) I can't edit any files. It just won't and yes I am on the admin account. I make my desired changes, hit save and it just won't work, not can I overwrite.

2b) As one of the results, I can't edit in a MyOwnAvatar, nor can I even paste in an avatar. Not a big deal, but lame...

3) I tried to use some of the downloadable content like the players pictures and whatnot, they pasted in fine but the pictures don't show up, it's still the same old, same old with no changes. Again, not a big deal, but...

4) I am required to keep the CD in the drive when I play. This is likely the most annoying. I really don't feel like bringing this disk with me everywhere and having the drive constantly whirring.

It's still a good program, but not being able to use all the options is disappointing. If there can't be a new version in ~3 years, there should be an updated patch considering an entirely new OS is out (and no, Vista doesn't suck, I've found it to work tremendously).

Hopefully the fine people on this forum can please tell me how to correct it, if at all possible and I'm not just expected to wait and buy the next version.

I'll try right-clicking the patch. I doubt it works but we'll see.

So, it fixes 3 of the 5 issues.

I can't edit

35=MyOwnAvatar

into the avatars.ini file or paste in my created avatar into the folder for some reason. I also can't edit whatever it was that allows you to unlock all the chess sets without the win requirements.
