Hi

I recently upgraded my graphics card to a radeon x1650.

I tried to start CM and got the above message. I have re installed but no change. Prior to the upgrade I have used CM10 for years.

What can I do??

Do you have the latest patches for CM 10 installed? And do you have the latest driver for your video card?

Considering the answer to both questions are "yes", then it sounds like you need to adjust the settings for your card... I'm not familiar with the Radeo x1650, so it will be trial and error on your part.

And check your DirectX. Chessmaster needs DirectX 9.

True, but this wouldn't be part of the problem, as he already has DirectX 9, since he was using Chessmaster 10 before he upgraded his video card...

yep, driver issue. i had updated them a few weeks ago too.

Working now. the 3d boards look better with new card. i always used to play 2d, because the 3d boards made some pieces hard to distinguish!!
