First off, Ive lost all hope of changing the bizzare menu pink text color after downloading every patch and uninstalling the entire game and reinstalling it. If you do find a solution to my problem you will be my hero (especially after the 11th edition has been introduced)

Hmmm... that's definitely odd.
Have you made sure that the options for Glare and Stereo 3D are turned off? You can find these under Preferences -> Board Settings. If it's not one of these, then I'd say it must be something with your Graphics card settings...  |

Thats because of ClearType. Disable it and the pink colour will disapear.
But wasn't this fixed in a patch? I have Vista and ClearType enabled, but the colours are not pink. Did you really install the 1.03 patch? With Vista you have to right click and "run as administrator" when installing the patch (or anything else) |

I tried turning both off then both on.. It didnt do a thing  Assuming its the graphic card settings, how/where do i change it?
Clear type? What is that? And yes, I have installed the 1.03 patch before the time of this topic. |

You didn't say what kind of video card you had; but if you should be able to find the settings in the Control Panel.
I also have Vista and ClearType, and my colours are normal... but you can try disabling ClearType by doing the following: 1. Open the Control Panel, and select 'Appearance and Personalization'. 2. Select 'Personalization'. 3. Select 'Windows Color and Appearance. 4. Click on 'Open classic appearance properties'. 5. Click the Effects button. 6. Uncheck 'Use the following method...' Hope this helps. |
