Hello all:

New to the forums and CM 10, just purchased it, but have played some of the past versions of CM.

I've always had an interest in chess (51 years old) but due to real life etc. never pursued it much past a point of casual play. I've read a few books on chess but to tell the truth they were either poorly written or to advanced for my rank (not sure which).

I use the same opening for the most part and get by up to the 7th-8th move but I have no clear idea where to go after that - more just react to the opponents move and try to keep on the attack.

Am looking for a a point in the right direction to help move the game to the next level.
