Hi guys!! I'm new on forum, and I'm glad to see that you are never bored!! I think

especially on case - "ebutaljib" . I have never seen on any forum that somebody remove all his

posts. I remember that when I was 5 year old boy,and somebody ofense me, I used to take all my toys and went home . It's interesting to see something like this, but, off course it's sad too, because

there was a lot of usefull stuff, I assume. I always remember this picure when I encounter

this kind of behavour on net :




Btw, I have one question. I play CM10 around one year. My skills in chess are average,

around 1300-1400. But, I note interesting event in last two weeks. It stared with freezing

between moves and I downloaded fix "the king".So, That is now OK, but problem is that AI

strenght have dramaticlly fallen. For 1 days, I increased my rating on 1500. OK, maybe I

became smarter, but personalities like Eliah,Will... now make some idiotic sacrifices and

oversights!!

As I, my comp is average too : Barton 2600+, Radeon 9600xt, 512 Ram... But I'm sure that

problem is not this, because it was doing perfectly until last two weeks.

In order to eliminate all plausable software problems, I re-installed my XP. So, I asume

this isn't to.

Consequently, I eliminated all hardware, software possibilities. So, does anybody encounter

something like this? Thanks

Please forget about the thing with ebutaljib, we'd all like to get on with our lives now...

As for your problem, have you tried using the old TheKing.exe again? If so, does it still cause frequent crashes? Are you sure that the AI is making stupid mistakes over all personalities?

There have been reports of some of the personalities between 1300-1600 and even wider range than that playing very strongly, but making one or two really silly careless mistakes which makes their personality weaker.

If the old TheKing.exe doesn't crash the whole time, play a personality with a slighty stronger rating a few times and get the results, and then use the new TheKing.exe and play against the same profile to see if the results are different.

I must say I've not heard about this new version causing the AI to become inferior before, but it may indeed be another bug that UBI has overlooked.

When I enter this position in CM X, the mentor says that 10 000 000 moves are analysed in 42 seconds, whether I use the native or the patched version.

Hey marco, I have no idea what that notation says and I'm having a hard time "translating" it into algebraic notation. Could you enlighten me?

Sorry, I haven't been precise enough. Quality of AI and freezing between moves occured together. As soon as I had replaced old "The King", second part of the problem (freezing) was solved. But unfortunately, AI quality is still low.
Naturally, I thought that low AI quality is consequence of freezing - which is result of processor overheating ( beacause od 100 usage ). Of course, it was mistake. There was no processor overheating and everything else worked just fine.
So, problem is not new "The king", but something else.
Leastways, I can accept fact that I suddenly become smarter!
And you asked me about other personalities... No, I did't try them all, but it is noticable that someting is wrong.( for example, Cole exchanged queen for knight!!!! Without any obvious reason...)
Btw.,sorry if my english is bad, I'm from Serbia. I learn it from movies and video games only.

Ovaj "novi" TheKing.exe nije ništa drugo nego originalni TheKing.exe koji radi sa niskim prioritetom na tvom kompjuteru. Možda to uzrukuje da sada igra nešto lošije nego prije. Ali nije to to. Svaki igrač na kompjuteru ima svoje slabosti, a te slabosti su da gleda samo 2 poteze daleko, da ignoriše obranu svog kralja, da smatra kraljicu vrijedniju od skakača i slično. Na taj način programeri načine program da igra tako loše da i mi obični ljudi koji nismo svjetski prvaki možemo igrati sa njima.

Sve us vemu, tvoj kompjuter radi kako treba. Svi igrači izpod rejtinga 1800 prave takve gluposti. Onda prestane činiti takve očitne gluposti i počinju raditi gluposti koje nije više tako lako kazniti.

to monstermunched : the notation I used is the Forsythe notation. you can edit and paste it in CM training mode to get the position.

Actually, I don't preffer to burn anything...but we Serbs are natural enemies with everybody. Serbs vs. Croats, Serbs vs. Albanians, Serbs vs. other Serbs. Maybe you and me are enemies too . No matter that, I hope we'll have good relation.
And one question... I don't know all details of conflict, but why don't you return your posts? Of course, in case it is plausable.
