I could not connect to the ubisoft server when I upgraded to Windows Vista. I am getting an error message: "Could not log to the router. The client is incompatible with the server. (ERR: 50)
Is there any solution to this? |

I also got this incident when i tried to connect online to ubi game server.
I had installed the patches before and i got another error that my cd key is invalid and i can not find the cd key according to the instructions which are given in Manual of CMX and now i got no cd key after that i install CMX at another computer and now i cant install the patch the error occurring (Anim8.dll) i tried to get help from ubi soft and they unable to understand what problem got their client. so i am here to help me out |

Hi. I am an elementary school teacher. I purchased CM 10th edition from Scholastic. When I try to patch I get an error message saying it is an unknown version. When I look at about chessmaster 10th edition it says it is 1.0.0. I have tried running the 1.03, 1.02, and 1.01 patches. They all have the same error message. Any non-sarcastic help would be greatly appreciated. Sarcastic help only appreciated.

All 1.03 patches are here. Install the patch and you should be able to connect. And, ebutaljib, try not to get angry with people. It's a test, I agree, but you don't have to start accusing people back after they accuse you. It just makes you moderators look bad.  This message has been edited. Last edited by: KHollister, |

Sigh... didn't you read the contents of this thread? Or better yet, the Chessmaster 10th Edition FAQ?
You're getting the error because you haven't installed the patches... do that, and you should be okay.  |

Hello, guys I seem to have a problem with my Chessmaster 10th Edition game its saying that "Could not log to the router! The client is incompatible with the server. (ERR: 50)" I tried installing 3 patches, uninstalling McAffee, and following instuctions. What should I do?

Okay... are you certain the patches installed correctly?
Select 'About Chessmaster 10th Edition' from the Help menu. If the version number on that screen isn't 1.0.3, then you need to re-install the patches. If you're using Vista, remember that you have to install the patches as Administrator (right-click on the file and select 'Run As...'). Also, make sure you have the proper ports opened, too. |
