I was in the Marines... so naturally I should say Force Reconnaissance... but I'm more inclined to say Green Berets. The way they set up their Operational Detachments is superb. They have a real good track record and know what they're doing.
Don't the Marines have an actual SF unit now? Prior to this, they didn't have their own Special Operations Command, and would always refer to Force Recon as their unofficial SF unit, but now you guys have an actual SF unit complete with your own special operations command and all that right? At least that's what I heard like a year ago, or two years ago, or something like that.

Technacally speaking the marines are SF, but the group you thinking of are the Marine expeditionary force

No. They are not. They have a special maritime role but they are not headquarters by any Special Operations Command. They are no more speical forces then Army Armored Cavalry units are (Who specialize in recon missions.
And a Marine Expidtionary Force (MEF) is not MARSOC, it is simply a level of command
And yes.. the marines now have a Special Operations Force. Had a few small incidents in Afghanistan... that the media blew completely out of proportion and unjustly against the unit.
