Hey, anyone seen the Kingdom yet? I saw it, the action scene at the end is CRAZY. It is completely, utterly, and retardedly crazy, but in a good way. But yah, while most movies have the action scenes spread out, in The Kingdom, they chose to put it all in one big crazy action scene that is completely relentless and does not let you breathe until the end of the movie.

Agreed...probably not the best idea to announce that you've gotten a black market copy. Haven't seen it yet, Demon. I tend to wait for the DVD these days. Was it cool though? I saw that its been released and have been a little "Hmmm...I wonder if its got some political agenda in it." Thanks for the PM, BTW, cool page. Veryhappy

The politics in this movie is pretty fair I think. It's obviously a little political, but they don't let the politics dictate the plot like you would see in some of these movies now-a-days where the movie maker is just trying to cram his own political views down everyone's throats. The politics is merely there to keep the scene realistic since politics definitely play a role in international affairs. But it's not a movie that is trying to impress upon you the director's political views. It's not like George Clooney made this movie you know, lol.

Excellent! I'll have to check that out. I expect a little politics in a movie that deals with a real-world, international incident. I'm glad to read that its not another "Syriana". Veryhappy

Simple rule to follow:
George Clooney = don't watch

Save you a lot of heart-ache, lol.

Heh...words to live by, Demon. Even before the war came to be, that ******* ruined BatMan! I think Michael Keaton was the only one who fit the role. Didn't care for Val Kilmer either.

A friend of mine who's a doc in Iraq told me of a movie called "Into the Wild" that she had seen. Its directed by Sean Penn, so I'm a little hesitant to see it, but she tells me its completely apolitical. Any thoughts on that?

Looks BORING and stupid. And it does have a political message, it's just not as retardedly blatant like george clooney's movies, lol.

Oh, but so far I'm liking Christian Bale as batman, let's see how "The Dark Knight" comes out.

So the kingdom is good to see? Is it worth the $10 for theatres or should I wait to rental?

Wow, $10? And I thought our $8 was bad.

I don't know, I think the sound is a very important part of the movie, so if you have a really good surround sound system at your home, then it wouldn't be a bad idea to wait, but otherwise, I think it's worth it for the theater experience.
