Yep, you guys knew this was coming, lol.
Here are some movies I am looking forward to in order by release date: Forbidden Kingdom (April 18) Trailer Jackie Chan and Jet Li in one movie at last. It looks like the traditional "Wire Fu" style martial arts movie, which I love, but the stupid American kid mixed into the story gets me worried. But no matter what, the fighting will be pretty awesome, especially when Jackie Chan and Jet Li goes at it, lol. Iron Man (May 2) Trailer 2 (MUST SEE) This is, by far, the movie I am MOST excited to see (yes, even more so than The Dark Knight or Indiana Jones). I don't know why, I've never read a single Iron Man comic (don't read ANY comics actually), but for some reason I am very hyped about this. I think it's because they took a comic book movie very seriously it appears, even with a star-studded cast. Robert Downey Jr. looks perfect for the role, even though I underestimated him before seeing the previews. Gwyneth Paltrow is just hot as Pepper Potts, lol. Anyway, if you haven't seen the full trailer yet, check it out, it's worth it. If that armor was real, I want one for Christmas, haha. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (May 16) Trailer Oops, almost forgot this one. I liked the first one. Hopefully the second one will outdo the first though, looks like it might, seems like it matured a little. Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (May 22) Teaser What more can I say? It's Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones! The only downside is that they got that moron Shia LaBeouf as a major role in the movie. Did Steven Spielberg not watch Transformers? That idiot cannot act to save his life. He was the most annoying part of that movie! Anyway, despite having one of the worst actors in history in a major role, it is still Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones. The only thing missing is Sean Connery... The Incredible Hulk (June 13) Teaser Less dark in HD Well, it appears I was not the only one that thought Brokeback Hulk by Ang Lee was a piece of ****, here is a reboot of the series, pretending the size changing crying Hulk that jumps from cloud to cloud as energy never happened. Thank goodness. And Edward Norton is a very good actor, and most of the time talented actors would not accept a role they think will ruin their reputation, so hopefully this means he was impressed with the script. But all we got to go by for now is a teaser, it looks pretty decent from that, but we won't get a better picture until the full trailer is released. The Dark Knight (July 18) Teaser HD I know most of you are waiting for this, and so am I. I've always thought that the Joker is the best villain of the Batman franchise. Although my favorite image of the Joker is the one established by Batman: The Animated Series that aired on tv back in the day, with Mark Hamill doing the voice. This Joker appears to do away with the humor and just kept the psychotic part of the Joker personality, and from what I could see it was done very well. It's just too bad there is no Harley Quinn, she was always a cutie in the cartoon... Punisher: War Zone (September 12) No teaser or trailer for this yet, it's still in production. Although from what I've read about it, it sounds promising. This is also a reboot of the series, ignoring the previous Punisher movie, which was pretty mediocre in my opinion. Hopefully this will be an actual improvement. The new star, Ray Stevenson, actually does look very good for the role of The Punisher, and it is supposed to be a much darker, more like the comic, representation of the name, unlike the last film. So hopefully it lives up to the description, because from the description, it sounds like it could be very good. James Bond 007: Quantum of Solace (November 7) This is the next 007 movie after Casino Royale and I think it's supposed to pick up right after Casino Royale, more or less pick up with Casion Royale's ending as its beginning. The only thing that got me worried is their choice of director, but we'll just have to wait and see. There are no trailers or previews, so no way to tell anything as of right now. Not sure if Marc Forster can out-do Martin Campbell though... Did I miss anything? Feel free to post what you guys are looking forward to! This message has been edited. Speed Racer looks interesting, I will wait and how it turns out (or if it starts causing seizures on mass because of all the bright colors) I loved watching it as a kid, but I don't know how well it will translate to live action.

I almost cried watching the Speed Racer trailers. It looks like everything I've loved as a kid is being taken and destroyed. |

I heard 10,000 B.C. was horrible. Can anyone else confirm this?

As an entertaining movie, it was alright. But if you try to take it seriously, you'll be screaming at the screen. Basically they got almost everything wrong about that time period. And another big issue is that the lighting changes from scene to scene, obviously showing that those shots were taken at different times of day, but most big budget movies expect this and go through some trouble to make sure the lighting matches. Apparently nobody thought about it that hard with this movie, lol. And some of the lines were kind of corny, lol.
But I wasn't upset or anything, I found it entertaining, won't be buying the DVD though... ______________________________________________ "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." - Edmund Burke "It's better to be hated for who you are than to be loved for who you're not." - Anonymous "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is." - William J. Sweet.
Oh. I saw Meet the Spartans. It was horrendous. Absolutely terrible. I just remember that the other day I saw a Harold and Kumar 2 ad on T-hunt in Dantes. I never saw the first, but I always find it amusing to see ads in Rainbow.
I also forgot "Get Smart" The old show was hilarious and I love Steve Carell. Also is the next Bond coming out in '08? |

I used to watch Get Smart too, but I don't know how it will translate to film. We'll see about that one. And I think the next Bond will be coming out in 2009? Anyway, I'm worried about that one, they got some director who has never done a single action movie before in his career, they got one of those "artsy" directors... Kind of a weird decision, something tells me the action won't be as gritty as with Martin Campbell's Casino Royale but instead be more stylized... But we'll see.
Edit: Oh, I was wrong, it's supposed to come out November 7, 2008. Guess I'm adding that to the list, lol. ______________________________________________ "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." - Edmund Burke "It's better to be hated for who you are than to be loved for who you're not." - Anonymous "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is." - William J. And we saw how well that worked out for "The Hulk" Why Ang Lee? Why didn't you just have him beat stuff up? |

Yah, Brokeback Hulk was so deep... lol

The Visible Frog![]() |
Nobody mentioned WALL-E? There are tons of good movies coming out in the nxt few months, but this definitely looks like it will blow the rest out of the water.

It's the last of the original Pixar stories created back in the 90s before Toy Story was made. Thus, it's pretty much the same team that has been coming out with all of these big budget CG movies. It's really cute, and seem hilarious. But then again, I like kids movies (well, in cartoon format) so my opinion might be slightly biased. |

Yah, I like those too, but I'm mainly listing the big budget blockbusters, but I'm not overlooking it. I am a huge fan of The Incredibles, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, and a bunch of those, lol. Happy Feet was retarded though, oh well, the beginning was pretty funny, but the overall story and the ending was pretty lame...

I loved The Incredibles, but I really didn't like Find Nemo ("Fish are friends, not food." Bite me! Ya stupid hippies!). I still haven't seen the rat movie though. Happy Feet was just an atrocity, if you are going to make a movie trying to call attention to some environmental issue, try to pick one that is real (or at least one you think is real). The Antarctic has some of the densest fish populations in the world, over fishing there isn't even close to a problem and due to the impracticality of it, it probably never will be.
Another thing that gets me is the documentary films that go on about newly discovered ecosystems and how scientists are trying to discover the impact of global warming upon them. I'm always thinking: You just discovered the darn thing and already you are trying to figure out how we're screwing it over!? Bite me, ya stupid hippies! |

Lol, you know I'm not a hippy, not by far, lol, but the Finding Nemo thing was cute, I think that was meant more as a joke than anything else. I didn't see anything really political like in Happy Feet. The thing that pissed me off about Happy Feet besides the whole banning commercial fishing ****, was how they portrayed zoos as some evil organization that mistreats animals. Which is a view stupid activist groups like PETA share, but in reality, a lot of endangered animals have been bounced back because of the help of zoos. They do a lot for the wildlife, the people working in zoos are animal lovers, they aren't doing it out of some evil scheme or whatever... What a retarded movie...
