This is so sad, Kellie Pickler has a song called "I Wonder" and it's a song about the true story about her mother leaving her when she was young. She tried to perform the song at the CMA awards and couldn't finish it without the waterworks, she had to improvise a little at the end. I guess that's one way to know that it's real. But you could tell that she was a little emotional to begin with.

It had to be tough on her to not have her parents around. She touched on that some during her days on American Idol. The good thing is, she had some supportive grandparents that raised her properly. She was on Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader this past week and raised some money for the Red Cross and an orginazation for custodial grandparents who raise their grandkids.

Yah, I read that one of the songs on her album is about her grandmother dying. She had said that one of the hardest things for her was her grandmother dying since she was basically raised by her grandparents since her mother left her and her father was into drugs and alcohol. I bet she probably can't perform that song either...

I saw her live when she was in CA with Brad Paisley (my ex gf is really into country). She was actually very good, and cried during the performance of that song during the show. I don't think it's an act, I think she actually feels that emotion which is refreshing.

Brad Pasley was also great, and I'm not even a fan of country...

Yah, and the obvious question would be:
Why were you at a Brad Paisley concert if you're not a country fan? lol

I'm a fan of country, so it's no wonder I know about Kellie Pickler, but I didn't really expect anyone else to actually know who I'm talking about.

Because my ex is from Georgia and she really likes country, especially Brad Paisley, so I took her to see the show. She kind of changed my mind about the whole genre, I still don't listen to it on my own, but I find that I miss it .
