I thought it was pretty retarded. It's entertaining but no where near the caliber of the other Indiana Jones movies. The story is just so ridiculous. This was like Steven Spieldberg's wet dream, if you've seen it you know what I mean.

Well put! I think they could have salvaged it, even with the aliens being the deus ex machina... but the whole "alternate universe" and everything being sucked up into the UFO was just too much. |

The first part of the movie was decent, it had the Indiana Jones "feel" but then things started to really slide....the kid swinging from tree to tree with the monkeys?! Who thought that fans would want to see that? The coolest thing about the Indy movies was that for the most part they didnt look fake and looked like it was actually filmed on location. Here, for the most part, everything looked like it was filmed inside a sound stage or a blue screen. The aliens were ridiculous as well, but then one can make the argument that they had the holy grail and the arch of the covenant perform magical things, so aliens are not that much of a stretch.

It's not that aliens is a stretch, Indiana Jones have always been pretty outrageous. It's just that aliens have a certain cheese factor. Ghosts and magical powers seem more paranormal while aliens just seem corny. Not to mention, they are on opposite ends of the spectrum. Usually strictly Christian people believe in creatism which says aliens do not exist. So it's weird for a series to have always been proving that religion is right, then all of a sudden say there are also aliens...

Well, even if they were just plain aliens, and not "alternate dimension" aliens. I mean, what even is the point of the movie? In the earlier films there was always a relic of great power that Indy finds but when he returns the Crystal Skull, everything just goes *poof* and disappears. Very anticlimactic.

ummm creationism doesnt state that aliens dont exisist we dont know what God created |

Actually, it does. Basically it is said that we were created in god's image, that we are the one and only intelligent life. Divine creation or whatever. God created the universe, then blah blah blah, and on the 6th day he created man in his own image, then on the 7th day he rested.
Thus why Sundays, the 7th day, is supposed to be the day of rest, not that we follow that. BTW, I'm not religious, so correct me if you're a bible thumper, but I try to be informed about stuff... ______________________________________________ "All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." - Edmund Burke "It's better to be hated for who you are than to be loved for who you're not." - Anonymous "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is." - William J.
