So I was dating this girl for about 2.5 years, believed that I was going to marry her, she was my world, etc. She broke up with me at the end of September, yet we remained close and recently there were signs that we would be getting back together. Today I pick her up from the airport (she's originally from outside of Atlanta- yeah I know, a Russian heathen and a Southern girl), and she tells me she's moving back to Georgia, but get this, she doesn't think that this will effect our chances of getting back together. I'm crushed, devastated and all the other pathetic adjectives that you can think of- I actually feel worse now than when we broke up, because now there is no hope, I've lost the person most dear to me and who I would've died for.

So I'll be logging off from here until I can put myself back together. Just wanted to let you guys know so that you wouldn't think I'm running away from that whole health care debate.

Ok, not sure if it'll actually make you feel any better, but I'm sure you'll relate. I love that song, reminds me of my experiences with a girl also, so it's bittersweet when I hear it.

Um, anyway, it'll just take time, but just realize that she isn't right for you so you can move on and not miss any opportunities. I know it's hard to convince yourself that the person you've always thought was the only one for you isn't. But like I said, it'll just take time...

We have what seems to be a large Russian population here in Georgia, or Slavic of some kind. I see them at GE Airfoils every day and night (I work nights).

Well I hope I don't ever have to experience what you're going through right now. I agree with Demon though, it'll take time. Keep in mind that all things pass.

(I have my suspicians that you ARE running away from that healthcare debate though)
